Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Bukavu
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by a Belle Africa Tours company representative who will transfer you to the border from Kigali, crossing to the democratic republic of Congo, you will pass through beautiful vegetation and tea plantations arriving in Bukavu town for dinner and staying overnight at

Day 2: Lwiro Chimpanzee Sanctuary visit
Following breakfast, we will visit the chimpanzee sanctuary, you can take part in the daily activities at the sanctuary like feeding the chimpanzee, the activity takes a full day after which we will return to the lodge for dinner and stay overnight at

Day 3: Lowland Gorilla Trekking
After breakfast, we will embark on an early morning transfer to the park headquarters for gorilla experiences, briefing and after trekking the low land gorillas the experience is amazing, it takes 1-4 hours and upon meeting the gorillas one hour is allowed with them, returning for lunch and evening relaxation.

Day 4: Boat Transfer to Goma
Following breakfast, you will be transferred by boat to Goma, following a checkout at the lodge, lake Kivu has stunning views of the volcano backdrops, it presents an opportunity to view the surrounding and birds of several types, arriving to clear at the grande barrier border, dinner and stay overnight at

Day 5: First Gorilla Trekking
We will have breakfast, after which drive to the park headquarters for a briefing, you will then head to the forest in search of the Majestic creatures, passing through the terrain for 2 or more hours depending on how far the gorilla families have moved. You are allowed to spend one hour with the gorillas after which return to the lodge for lunch a relaxed evening or you can choose to take an evening walk.

Day 6: Second Gorilla Trekking
We will have breakfast, after which we will assemble at the park headquarter this time round we have t track a different habituated gorilla family this is interesting for primate lovers, they will have a great time viewing the gorillas twice, as each time you meet the gorillas, the experience is different returning for a dinner and stay overnight at

Day 7: Hiking Nyiragongo Volcano
Following an early breakfast, we will drive to the park center for a briefing before we start our day’s adventures, you will be able to meet other travellers the Hike begins at around 10:00 am after reaching the tracking point, hiking takes approximately 6 hours depending on the speed of the last person, you will have an opportunity of seeing the active volcanic larva, spending the night at the summit
Day 8: Descend Nyiragongo – Relaxation
Today morning, you will descend the volcano, and spend a relaxed afternoon as we wait to summarize our 8 days trip

Day 9: Chimpanzee Tracking Experience
We will wake up to a morning breakfast after which we will assemble at the park headquarters to track our closest relative, chimpanzees, they share up to 98% of the human DNA. You will be transferred to meet the chimpanzee where they are being habituated to returning for dinner and staying overnight at

Day 10: Departure
Wake up to something to warm our tummies before we transfer to the Kigali international airport to catch our international flight, depending on the time you can have an optional Kigali tour.
